🔤 Why use text without diacritics?
The standard fonts built into PDF do not contain accented Vietnamese characters. If you enter a template with diacritics, the tool strips them automatically (for example “Trang” stays the same, “Tổng” becomes “Tong”) so the page number still shows correctly instead of erroring.
🔒 Absolute privacy
The entire process runs with JavaScript on your device. Files are never uploaded to any server, suitable for contracts, records or personal documents.
Add Page Numbers to a PDF
This add page numbers to PDF tool stamps numbers onto a document you already have — a thesis, a contract with annexes, a report or scanned paperwork. Choose one of nine positions, set the font size, colour, distance from the edge and the number format, and see it live on the first page before you save.
One technical limit worth knowing: the standard fonts built into PDF contain no Vietnamese diacritics, so if your template includes accented characters the tool strips the accents automatically when writing to the file, and shows you exactly what will be written. Otherwise everything runs inside your browser with no upload.

FAQ
Can I use Vietnamese accented text? Not fully. The standard PDF fonts carry no Vietnamese diacritics, so the tool strips the accents when writing into the file. It shows you the stripped version in advance so there are no surprises.
How do I skip the cover page? Set the starting page to 2 and the starting number to 1. The cover then has no number and the second page becomes page 1.
How do I write a custom template? Use {n} for the current page and {total} for the last number. For example Page {n} / {total} renders as Page 3 / 20.
Can I preview before saving? Yes. The first page shows the number in the exact position, size and colour you chose, updating instantly.
Is my file uploaded to a server? No. Everything runs in JavaScript on your own device.
Can I number a password-protected PDF? No. Encrypted files raise a clear error asking you to remove the password first.
