Keyboard shortcuts

  • • ← / → — previous page / next page
  • • + / − — zoom in / zoom out
  • • Ctrl + F — open the in-document search box
  • • Enter in the search box — go to the next result
  • • Esc — close the search box

Text search — what if nothing is found?

  • • Search runs on the text layer already inside the PDF file.
  • • If the document is a scan (photo/scanned image), there is no text inside — you can still view it but cannot search.
  • • Turn on “Ignore Vietnamese diacritics” so typing “hop dong” still finds “hợp đồng”.
  • • Search is not case-sensitive.

Light on resources and private

  • • Only the pages you are looking at get rendered, so documents with hundreds of pages still open quickly.
  • • Pages scrolled past have their memory reclaimed, keeping the browser from bloating RAM.
  • • The file stays entirely on your device, not sent to any server; close the tab and it is all gone.
  • • Contracts, medical records and bank statements can all be viewed with peace of mind.

Read PDF Files Online

This read PDF online tool opens and displays PDF documents right in your browser, with no need for Adobe Reader or any other software. Turn pages, zoom in and out, rotate, browse the thumbnail sidebar and search the text inside the document, then print or download whenever you like.

What makes it light is that it only draws the pages you are actually looking at, so a document with hundreds of pages still opens quickly, and pages you have scrolled past release their memory again. The search box can also fold Vietnamese diacritics, so typing hop dong still finds hợp đồng. Your file stays on your device, never uploaded, and disappears when you close the tab.

FAQ

Do I need to install anything? No. The tool runs entirely in your browser, so no Adobe Reader or app is needed, on desktop or mobile.

Why can I not find text in some documents? Search runs on the text layer stored inside the file. A scanned document contains only images, so you can view it but not search it. Those need OCR first.

Can I type without accents and still find accented words? Yes, with the diacritic folding option enabled. Typing hop dong then finds hợp đồng. Search is also case-insensitive.

Can it handle documents with hundreds of pages? Yes. Only pages in view are rendered and pages scrolled past release their memory, so long documents stay fast without inflating browser RAM.

Is my file uploaded to a server? No. It stays on your device and is gone when you close the tab, which makes contracts, medical records and bank statements safe to view.

Can I print straight from here? Yes. A print button sits next to the download button on the toolbar.
