🖨️ For printing

DPI is a print-size tag: 300 DPI is standard for photo printing. It does not change the pixel size.

📐 Same pixels

Only the DPI metadata changes; the pixel dimensions stay the same. Print size = pixels ÷ DPI.

Change Image DPI Online

This change image DPI tool sets the print density (72, 96, 150, 300 DPI or custom) of a JPG/PNG so it prints at the right size. It writes the DPI tag into the file without changing the pixel size.

Processing runs right in your browser, so the image is never uploaded. It also shows the resulting print size in inches and cm.

  2. Pick a DPI (72/96/150/300 or custom).

FAQ

Does changing DPI make the image sharper? No. DPI is only a print-size tag; the pixel count is unchanged, so on-screen sharpness stays the same.

How is print size calculated? Print size = pixels ÷ DPI. A 3000px image at 300 DPI prints 10 inches (25.4 cm).

Is the image uploaded to a server? No. Everything runs in your browser.
