  • • Divide a textbook or long document by chapter
  • • Cut a batch of scanned invoices into individual invoices
  • • Send just one part of a document to each person

⚙️ How to use

  1. 1. Drag and drop or choose the PDF file to split
  2. 2. Pick one of the 3 split methods and review the list of parts
  3. 3. Click the split button; the browser creates a ZIP file with all parts
  4. 4. Unzip the ZIP to get files part-01.pdf, part-02.pdf…

🔒 Completely safe

The entire split operation happens in your browser. Files are not uploaded to any server, no one else can read the document content. Close the tab and all data disappears.

Split PDF into Separate Files

This split PDF tool divides one long document into several separate PDF files in three ways: one file per page, fixed blocks of N pages, or a cut at exactly the positions you name. Handy for splitting a contract from its annexes, a manual into chapters, or a batch of scanned invoices.

Before splitting you see a thumbnail grid with a badge on every page showing which part it belongs to, plus the full list of files that will be produced. Everything runs inside your browser — nothing is uploaded, so it is both fast and private — and the results are packed into one ZIP file.

How to split a PDF

  1. Drag or choose the PDF you want to split.
  2. Pick one of three modes: one file per page, fixed page count, or cut at positions such as 3, 7, 12.
  3. Review the list of parts and the part badges on the page previews.
  4. Click split — the browser builds tach-pdf.zip containing phan-01.pdf, phan-02.pdf and so on.

Key features

  • Three split modes covering the common real-world cases.
  • Page thumbnails with part badges and a red edge marking each cut point.
  • A preview list of every part with its page range and output filename.
  • All results packed into a single ZIP instead of many separate downloads.

FAQ

How do cut positions work? Enter the page numbers to cut after, separated by commas. For a 20-page file, 3, 7, 12 produces four parts: 1-3, 4-7, 8-12 and 13-20.

Why is the output a ZIP file? Splitting usually yields many PDFs. One ZIP means one download instead of dozens, and it avoids browsers blocking repeated downloads.

Can I preview a very long document? Previews are drawn for the first 60 pages to keep the browser responsive, but the split itself applies to the whole document.

Is my original file modified? No. The tool reads your file and creates new ones; the original on your disk is untouched and nothing is uploaded to a server.
