Video Downloader Newgrounds

How to use the Newgrounds video downloader

Start by opening Newgrounds in your browser and finding the movie or animation you want to save. Copy its page link from the address bar — it should look like newgrounds.com/... Head back to this tool, paste the link into the input field below the title, or simply click “Paste from clipboard” to fill it in automatically from whatever you last copied. Next, click the “Download” button and wait a few seconds while the tool analyzes the link and locates the original media file. Once processing finishes, you will see the result card with a thumbnail, title and author (when available) along with one or more file options — click the one you want and the MP4 will download straight to your device.

When this tool comes in handy

Newgrounds is a long-running community built around independent animation, short films and creative flash-era content. Whether you want to keep a favorite animation for offline viewing, use a clip for research or animation-technique study, or simply back up content before it disappears from the platform, this downloader gives you a local MP4 copy in moments — no screen recording, no extra software, no browser extensions.

Tips and things to check

Always copy the link directly from a public Newgrounds page so the tool can correctly identify the media. If a video or animation is private, age-restricted, or has been removed from Newgrounds, the tool may not be able to retrieve it — in that case, open the link directly on Newgrounds first to confirm the content still exists. If you run into an error, use the “Report this link” link that appears next to the status message; it sends the problem straight to the VSM team so we can investigate and keep the tool working smoothly.

Free to use and safe

This Newgrounds downloader is completely free with no limit on how many times you can use it. There is no account to create, no Newgrounds login required, and nothing to install — everything happens right in your browser: paste the link, click download, and get your file. That keeps you away from the risks that come with shady third-party downloader apps and browser extensions.
