AI model (bigger = better but heavier)
📝 Auto subtitles
Generate a timestamped .srt subtitle file for a video, or pull out the whole dialogue as text. Load the .srt into your player to show subtitles.
🆓 Free & private
The AI runs in your browser with a Whisper model; the video is never uploaded and it costs nothing.
⚠️ Slow, short clips
The first run downloads the AI model; transcription can take longer than the clip. If the audio cannot be read, extract it to MP3 first.
Video to Text Online
This video to text tool uses AI (the Whisper model) to listen to a video and generate an automatic .srt subtitle file, or pull out the whole dialogue as text. Great for subtitling, editing or saving a talk.
The AI runs right in your browser, is completely free, and the video is never uploaded. The first run downloads the model, so it is a little slow.

FAQ
How do I load the .srt into a video? Most players (VLC, YouTube on upload…) let you add an .srt; name it like the video for auto-detect.
Is the video uploaded to a server? No. Everything runs in your browser.
What if it cannot read the audio? Some video formats are hard to demux in the browser; extract the audio to MP3 first and feed that in.
How accurate is it? It depends on audio quality and noise; use the Small model and proofread.
