🔒 Images are never uploaded to a server — everything runs right in your browser.

Drag & drop an image here

or click to choose a file — PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, BMP

🔄 90° or any angle

Use the quick buttons for straight 90° turns, or drag the slider for any angle. The canvas auto-expands so no corner gets cut off.

🖼️ PNG or JPG

Rotate at a non-90° angle leaves triangular corners. Choose PNG to keep them transparent, or JPG and pick a background colour to fill them.

Rotate Image Online

This rotate image tool fixes a photo taken at an angle, stands up a landscape shot, or straightens a crooked scan. Use the quick buttons for 90, 180 and 270 degree turns, or drag the slider to correct any custom angle until the picture is perfectly level.

Rotating by a non-90 angle leaves triangular gaps in the four corners. Choose PNG to keep those corners transparent, or JPG and pick a fill colour. Everything runs inside your browser, so the image is never uploaded to a server.

How to rotate an image online

  1. Drag and drop or choose the image to rotate (PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, BMP).
  2. Use the quick 90 degree left / right or 180 degree buttons, or drag the slider for any angle.
  3. Pick the output format, PNG or JPG; for JPG you can set a background colour for the empty corners.
  4. Click to download the rotated image.

FAQ

Does rotating reduce quality? Rotating by 90, 180 or 270 degrees does not redraw pixels, so quality is untouched. A custom angle needs resampling, which softens the image very slightly, hardly noticeable.

Is my image uploaded anywhere? No. Reading and rotating both run in JavaScript inside your browser. The image never leaves your device and nothing is stored.

Why does my rotated JPG have coloured corners? JPG cannot store transparency. At a custom angle the empty triangular corners are filled with the colour you chose. Export PNG to keep them transparent.

Can I rotate a photo from my phone? Yes. The tool accepts JPG and PNG from phones. An iPhone HEIC photo should be converted to JPG or PNG first.
